Full Biography

Gillian is an Advisory Teacher for Primary Computing and is responsible for supporting Barking & Dagenham primary schools in developing the computing curriculum, using technology, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams and online safety. She works with teachers, subject leaders, SLT and technical staff and works closely with the BDSIP data management team, and provides support for schools as they analyse their assessment data. She is also responsible for managing the contracts of various IT Services for BDSIP partner schools.

Gillian has over 30 years’ experience of teaching computing in primary schools.
She taught across the primary age as a classroom teacher for 12 years and, from the start, has been involved in leading computing and ICT. Gillian was an advisory teacher for Barking and Dagenham Council, prior to joining BDSIP at its incorporation in 2017.

Gillian is a CEOP Ambassador, Computing at School Community Leader, a Key Stage 1 Maths Moderator and a school governor.
