“We have completed two school improvement projects over the last few years with Nicola Wix in her role as lead English Adviser. The first was a revamp of the English curriculum. Nicola worked closely with us, sharing her knowledge of quality children’s literature and helping us to choose books which would link to our wider curriculum.
The training has been invaluable to equip teachers with the skills to plan inspiring units of work which develop children’s skills in reading and writing as well as allowing them time to question and explore texts.
Nicola has always shown a good understanding of our school and areas that we have identified for improvement. This has ensured the implementation of any changes has been smooth and well received by all staff.”
Joanne Wright-Talaie, English Lead, St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School
