Steve is a leadership consultant working across a several local authorities. He has over 20 years’ experience as a senior leader in schools in Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge. This included 16 years as a headteacher in a school which was deemed to be outstanding by Ofsted.
He has a strong belief in collaboration at all level and as such has set up several peer review group partnerships as part of his work with the Education Development Trust.
Steve has worked as a consultant for ASCL since 2016 and in this role has managed numerous headship appointments. He has also worked with several schools on the recruitment of senior leaders.
He has also been involved in coaching/mentoring both aspiring leaders and headteachers. Steve has done extensive middle leader training including delivering a NPQSL course. He is currently delivering training for the National College of Education on level 3 and 5 programmes.
