Full Biography

I am an Inclusion Adviser at BDSIP. My responsibility is to support schools by devising new and creative methods to enhance support for pupils with SEND with a focus in Learning and SEMH ARPs. My philosophy of education emphasises the importance of relationships at the core of learning. I believe that inclusive, student-centred environments foster strong, supportive connections between educators, students, and families. BDSIP’s dedication to working collaboratively with schools to enhance the lives of its students really stroke a chord with me. I have the privilege of being a part of that bespoke support in schools, helping to create inclusive, nurturing environments where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

I have over 12 years educational experience working in schools across Barking and Dagenham. With this, I have grown an ever-increasing passion and appreciation for working as part of Inclusion Teams in schools. Prior to joining BDSIP, I worked as a Year Group Leader, a Teacher in Charge of an SEMH ARP and SEND intervention classroom, and as a Lead Teacher supporting the pilot of a Nurture Provision in a secondary school.

I continuously look for ways to improve my professional development. Over the past few years, I have completed an NPQ course in ‘Leading in Behaviour and Culture’, became a licence ‘Thrive’ practitioner and achieved a merit award for completing ‘The Theory and Practise of Nurture Groups’.
