Jacqui is a Post Graduate QCG qualified Careers Adviser, responsible for providing a safe and confidential space for young people to explore career ideas through career counselling and providing information, advice, and guidance to pupils in schools.
Prior to working at BDSIP, Jacqui worked in careers guidance for over 25 years in the Youth and Community sector. Her experience has seen her working in the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham to support young people through guidance counselling, to achieve their full potential and overcome any barriers to learning, such as NEET, homelessness, young lone parents, and young people with SEN. Jacqui has worked in a range of settings including Connexions Services, schools, colleges, training providers, community groups and youth centres.
Most recently, Jacqui was provided the opportunity to work with adults specifically caring for members of their families. This project helps to support carers re-entering employment or education by providing information, advice, and guidance to improve skills and confidence through facilitating workshops.
