Full Biography

I am a dedicated and experienced senior leader and special needs educator with over 15 years’ experience working in senior leadership teams and inclusion. I began my career working in a residential SEMH setting and then moved to a special school as a lead teacher. Since 2012 I have held senior leadership positions including Head of School and specialised in Inclusion within mainstream schools across Barking and Dagenham.

I am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and driving school improvement. I collaborate with schools to improve systems and outcomes for pupils with SEND in a way which compliments whole school development and allows us to work strategically together to set and monitor progress. I have a holistic tailored approach into ensuring the best possible provision to meet the needs of pupils.

As a Senior Inclusion Adviser, I provide guidance to schools to develop inclusive practises and policies. Able to design and deliver bespoke training programmes for staff on inclusive teaching strategies, I enjoy using my experience to support teachers and leaders at all levels. I hold the NASENCO award and NPQH and I am adept in using both my skills as a senior leader and inclusion lead to work with schools in improving outcomes for pupils.

My educational experience has seen me work in a variety of special and mainstream settings, my most recent school-based role enabled me to combine my passion for inclusion with curriculum development and work in partnership with the senior leadership to outstanding outcomes for both the Catholic Schools Inspectorate and Ofsted.

I am committed to enhancing educational outcomes for all students through evidence-based practises and collaborative approaches. I feel privileged to be able to support a variety of schools in their inclusion journeys.
