Rebecca Mawson
Inclusion Adviser (Autism)
Rebecca started working for BDSIP as an Inclusion Advisor in April 2019 and her main specialism is ASD.
She has worked in a variety of settings successfully supporting children and young people with Autism and Complex Learning Needs. She has an extensive working knowledge and a range of experiences across many different educational settings including mainstream, special school, resource provisions and inclusion advisory roles.
After 15 years in Hackney, most recently Rebecca set up a new Resource Provision for pupils with Autism in an all through school in Newham.
Rebecca is strongly committed to working with children with special educational needs, complex learning difficulties and children who find emotional regulation a challenge. She has worked closely with families to ensure there is a strong link between home and school to ensure success for every child.
Rebecca has worked for thirty years in the field of SEND, she is a SCERTS practitioner and has embedded the practice principles into her own practice ensuring the core challenges that children face are fully addressed to ensure individual success and achievement.
