This workshop will provide practitioners knowledge on having a shared understanding of the early learning goals descriptors, making accurate judgements relating to the EYFS profile ‘emerging’ and ‘expected’ levels of attainment, building a professional dialogue relating to children’s learning and development, particularly for children on the ‘cusp’ of meeting an ELG.

Description

Why should I attend? The workshop will provide practitioners with an opportunity to:

  • share and discuss observational evidence on children’s learning
  • support practitioners to make accurate judgements in relation to ‘expected’ and ‘emerging’ levels of attainment
  • consider the ‘Best-fit’ model when making an accurate judgement
  • have a better understanding of ELGs

What will the meeting cover?

  • completing the profile
  • discussion of ELGs and building knowledge of the child to make an accurate assessment
  • consider ‘Best-fit’ model when making accurate judgements
