Through these sessions we will also explore current research findings and implications for classroom practice.

Why should you attend?
In this session, we will be looking at the reading framework and the updates from July 2023. We will be covering the following areas and sharing practice from our schools:
- Phonics - with a particular focus on fluency and intervention for pupils most in need of support.
- Reading for pleasure and building a reading culture in your school
- The importance of talk and oracy
Our early reading leader will also be sharing her early reading book recommendations.
What will this course cover?
Each session will comprise of information sharing, the latest research and have a CPD component. Each session will focus a different component of the English curriculum: reading, writing and oracy.
