Words First Multi- Disciplinary Services for Schools
We are delighted to work in partnership with Words First Ltd to provide a high-quality team of qualified and registered speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists. Words First have a proven track record of success in schools across London.
Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy Services
Focusing on your school priorities, Words First will:
- Provide eight hours of therapy time per day purchased.
- Provide an agreed number of assessments.
- Provide support with Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) applications
- Develop individualised programmes for an agreed number of students.
- Facilitate interventions.
- Provide training and supervision for teaching assessments to deliver Words First intervention programmes.
- Provide access to all Words First resources.
- Work with your school to embed key strategies to support High Quality First Teaching into the curriculum.
- Offer onsite staff training and professional development.
- Provide support for parents.
- Develop six-monthly impact reports and case studies to evaluate how your money has been spent.
- Provide clinical supervision in line with professional guidelines.
Schools can purchase each service separately or create a multi-disciplinary package by combining the services. Service Level Agreements can be created to meet your needs and budget with packages which include ad-hoc purchasing and regular weekly support.
Educational Psychology Service
This is the latest addition to Words First multidisciplinary team.
Focusing on your school priorities, Words First will:
- Provide assessments for EHCPs.
- Provide general assessments for advice and guidance.
- Offer on-site training and professional development.
- Provide access to Words First resources.
- Signpost to other relevant services, where appropriate.
Words First offer flexible packages to meet your needs and budget starting with ad-hoc purchasing of a minimum of 2 days to regular support of 2 days per half term.
