Nicole is a passionate advocate for education that nurtures the whole child — fostering environments where every young person is seen, valued and supported to thrive, regardless of their starting point. As Director of Learning at BDSIP, she works closely with schools to improve the quality of teaching, leadership and inclusion, helping educators develop practical approaches that meet the needs of all learners.
With over two decades of experience across a range of educational settings, Nicole has a particular expertise in supporting schools to strengthen their SEND and inclusion practices. One of her most significant leadership roles involved transforming SEND provision in a large all-through academy, improving it from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ within a single academic year.
Nicole is known for her relational, strengths-based approach, supporting leaders, teachers and support staff to build inclusive cultures where both staff and students can flourish. She brings a unique perspective to her work, informed by her training as a humanistic counsellor and her ongoing practice supporting both young people and adults.
Whether coaching individual leaders or co-developing whole-school strategies, Nicole helps educational communities connect more deeply with their purpose, creating the conditions where staff feel empowered, and all children can experience success.
