Simon believes that behind every number is a story, and that when schools can see their data clearly, they can make better decisions for the children they serve. With over 20 years of experience working with education data, he is passionate about making complex information feel accessible, useful, and empowering for school leaders and staff.
Since joining BDSIP in 2019, Simon has led our Education Data Management (EDM) and MIS Support services, working closely with schools to provide not just analysis, but partnership. Whether supporting statutory data returns, offering practical MIS training, or exploring attainment trends, Simon takes pride in building trusted relationships and helping school teams feel confident in the data they use every day.
Before BDSIP, Simon spent 16 years working in Children’s Services and at BD Together in Barking & Dagenham, developing a deep understanding of the local education landscape and what matters to school communities. He brings this same grounded, people-centred approach to every aspect of his work.
For Simon, great data isn’t about spreadsheets; it’s about insight, collaboration, and making a difference where it really counts, in the classroom, for every child.
