I believe education should be an inclusive environment where every child and young person feels supported to reach their full potential. I joined BDSIP in 2022 as a BACP-accredited practitioner, inspired by the organisation’s holistic approach to supporting children and young people—recognising and addressing their full range of needs.
My passion lies in promoting mental health, building resilience, and nurturing confidence. I bring extensive experience of working with children and young people in both mainstream and specialist settings, from Early Years through to Sixth Form. Alongside my counselling accreditation, I hold an MSc in Developmental Psychopathology and a Level 5 qualification in counselling with Place2Be, specialising in therapeutic work with children and young people in schools.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I place the child at the centre of my practice. While my work is grounded in a person-centred approach, I also draw on CBT, psychodynamic methods, play, and creative exploration to meet the unique needs of each pupil. Through one-to-one support, I help children navigate everyday challenges as well as common mental health difficulties, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.
