Haydn is a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor with over eight years of experience working with children and young people in education. She brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work, offering a safe space where pupils feel heard, understood and supported to make sense of their emotions and experiences.
As an Associate Counsellor at BDSIP, Haydn currently works within a specialist school setting, supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. She has particular experience working with children with SEND, those navigating trauma, and young people from refugee and care-experienced backgrounds.
With a First-Class Honours degree in Sociology and a Level 4 qualification in Therapeutic Counselling, Haydn combines a deep understanding of societal and individual experience with a strong belief in the power of relational, person-centred support.
Haydn’s practice is rooted in care, empathy and inclusion, values that align closely with BDSIP’s mission. She is driven by the belief that emotional wellbeing is not just important, but essential to unlocking a young person’s full potential.
