With over 35 years of service in the public sector, Gail brings a wealth of experience as an HR and Organisational Development (OD) leader, committed to building inclusive, high-performing workplaces that enable people to thrive. Her work is underpinned by a belief that positive organisational cultures are the foundation for meaningful and lasting change.
Before becoming a Director of Workforce Change, Gail spent more than a decade specialising in education HR, supporting schools with the complex challenges of workforce development. This experience gave her a deep understanding of the unique opportunities within education to shape not just effective teams, but learning environments where staff and pupils alike can flourish.
Her expertise spans people management strategies, organisational development, and cultural transformation, with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) woven through every aspect of her practice. Gail’s leadership style is collaborative and evidence-based, designed to empower others and create sustainable impact.
A strong advocate for knowledge-sharing, Gail actively connects with HR and OD networks to champion innovation and best practice. She has successfully led multiple Investors in People (IIP) reviews, achieving Gold accreditation twice, and has used the IIP framework to embed cultures of continuous improvement and leadership excellence.
Her work has earned national recognition, with her teams receiving Public Sector People Manager Awards and accolades from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). At BDSIP, Gail continues her mission to champion people, foster inclusion, and drive the kind of cultural change that allows schools and communities to achieve their full potential.
