Adriana provides her clients with a confidential non-judgmental space in which they can feel safe to tell their story, express their feelings and fears and feel heard. She will support them to explore feelings that they are finding painful and distressing. She works to help her clients find healthy ways to deal with difficult feelings and emotions. Adriana works to help clients enhance their personal growth and self-acceptance, as well as finding hidden qualities and attributes about themselves. Adriana is an integrative counsellor, which means she employs a variety of methods and techniques to suit the needs of each individual. Her counselling modalities include CBT, Person Centred, Existential and Psychodynamics.
Adriana’s extensive volunteer work for a charity as well as a background in teaching has led her to be interested in the reasons behind relationships and family difficulties. In addition, she also became aware of how negative thinking patterns can mould people’s lives and many times stop them from living their lives to the full potential. Adriana works to help clients find healthy ways of coping with anger, frustration and stress. She also works to help her clients find their strengths and abilities and find a way of using these to thrive in life and deal with the fear of living the life. Adriana has over ten years of experience working with children performing a wide range of roles. She is passionate about children’s mental health and is dedicated in teaching psycho education to raise awareness to the importance of early years development.
Adriana holds a degree in Counselling and is registered with the BACP. Her other qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Marketing and a degree in Theology.
