We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of some of our dedicated Literacy Mentors who have successfully completed the Literacy Skills for Secondary course this year.
Throughout the programme, participants have shown unwavering commitment to improving literacy outcomes for secondary students across the borough. Their hard work is already making a positive difference in classrooms.
This year’s cohort has demonstrated both passion and professionalism, and BDSIP could not be prouder of their accomplishments. Whether supporting struggling readers, building confidence in comprehension, or fostering a love of reading, these Literacy Mentors are leading the way in raising literacy standards in secondary school.
A huge well done to each one of you (including those not in the photo), your dedication is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the lasting impact you will continue to make.
Keep championing literacy, our young people are in excellent hands.
If you would like your teaching assistants (Primary or Secondary) to train as Literacy Mentors, please contact louise.harding@bdsip.co.uk for more information about future cohorts and how to get involved.
