Why should I attend?

This training offers a useful opportunity to explore key approaches for supporting autistic learners. The morning will focus on the AET Progression Framework and the SCERTS Assessment Profile, providing practical tools to help assess and plan for individual needs. In the afternoon, the session will look at the engagement model and the SEEKS model, considering how engagement can be used effectively for assessment for all learners. It’s a chance to reflect on current practice and gain strategies that can be applied in everyday settings.

 

What will the course cover?

The course will cover key tools and approaches to support progression and assessment for autistic learners. In the morning, the focus will be on the AET Progression Framework and the SCERTS Assessment Profile, exploring how these can be used to track development and inform planning. The afternoon session will concentrate on engagement, including the SEEKS model, and will consider how engagement can be used as a basis for assessment and to support meaningful learning.
