            Description

            What will the course cover?

The course offers schools the opportunity to visit the Secondary ASD ARPs in Barking and Dagenham. Participants will be able to engage with SENCos and ARP leads, gaining valuable insights into the tailored support each setting offers. Attending will deepen participants' understanding of what each setting can offer their pupils, allowing primary SENCos and Inclusion Leads to make informed decisions about the most appropriate placements for their pupils and ultimately enabling them to support a smooth transition into secondary school.

What benefits will this course have to my practice?

Attending this session will offer valuable insights into the support and services provided by the Eastbrook School ASD ARP for its students. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with professionals working within the ARP, exchange experiences, discuss the curriculum, explore the day-to-day operations, and gain a deeper understanding of the transition process. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to tour the ARP space, offering a closer look at the environment in which students learn and grow.
