The course will provide practitioners with the knowledge and understanding on how best to support young children to become confident writers. It will look at the different stages of writing and consider the different strategies used to support early mark making and writing.

This course will support you to develop your knowledge and understanding on how to support early writing in EYFS.

What will the course cover?

  • Explore the principles and practices which underpin early writing in Early Years
  • Understand the importance of developing prerequisite skills for early writing to become a confident writer 
  • Develop subject knowledge of writing 
  • Provide practical and teaching ideas 
  • Explore planning and assessment procedures
