Barking and Dagenham is set to benefit from £40 million in Government Pride in Place funding, creating a significant opportunity to shape long-term local regeneration.
Two Neighbourhood Boards are being established in:
• Mayesbrook and Rippleside
• Central Park and Frizlands Lane
Each Board will oversee £20 million of investment over the next decade, with a focus on strengthening communities, improving local infrastructure, and supporting vibrant, sustainable high streets.
The LA are now inviting applications from residents and business representatives to join these Boards as Chairs and Members. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic investment decisions and ensure funding reflects local priorities.
By bringing together a diverse range of voices, these Boards will play a key role in delivering meaningful, community-led change.
They’re also asking for residents’ input on changing the boundaries of the two areas.
