Full Biography

Tom Hart is a highly experienced education leader with over 20 years in the profession and a deep commitment to inclusion, ambition and opportunity for all. Currently Director of Primary Education for a multi-academy trust, he combines this role with his work as an Associate School Improvement Adviser for BDSIP,  Associate School Improvement Adviser for Hammersmith and Fulham and as a practising Ofsted inspector.

Tom’s career has spanned a wide range of leadership roles, including Executive Headteacher, and he has led improvement work across diverse school contexts. His experience encompasses school improvement, strategic leadership and curriculum design, all underpinned by a strong belief that collaboration and professional growth are the keys to lasting success.

Tom is passionate about developing leadership at every level and uses coaching and mentoring approaches to help individuals and teams build confidence, clarity and shared purpose — creating the conditions in which both staff and pupils can flourish.

Through his work with BDSIP, Tom brings strategic insight, empathy and a rigorous, evidence-informed approach to supporting schools. He is proud to contribute to BDSIP’s mission to ensure every child has the best possible life chances, empowering learners to find their voice, realise their potential and grow as lifelong learners who can thrive in an ever-changing world.
