I am responsible for sourcing and securing work experience placements for LBBD students and building up good working relationships with LBBD schools and with local employers in East London and Essex. Recently, I have taken on a more leadership role managing relationships directly with schools both mainstream and specialist ones.

In the last decade, I have always worked with supporting residents of Barking and Dagenham such as the long-term unemployed and now supporting of our vulnerable students accessing SEMH / SEN provision as well as mainstream students.

Prior to joining BDSIP, I managed the Traineeship Programme at Barking & Dagenham College, working with a cohort of “hard to reach” and vulnerable students, successfully placing them in Work Experience opportunities to complete their Traineeship.

I was previously an IAG Level 4 careers advisor and have recently achieved my Level 6 to be able to practice careers guidance within a school setting.

Something I am proud of is being able to offer SEN schools a bespoke work experience package for their students.
