Elizabeth Figueiredo is a serving Executive Headteacher with over 17 years of headship experience in challenging Inner London schools. She currently leads St Peter’s London Docks, judged Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2025, and Stepney Greencoats, rated Good in February 2023.
Alongside her headship roles, Elizabeth works as a School Improvement Adviser, bringing extensive expertise in school leadership and a strong background in SEND. With a deep understanding of the pressures and responsibilities leaders face, she offers empathetic, tailored support rooted in evidence-based practice. Drawing on her coaching skills, she creates space for leaders to reflect honestly, ask the right questions, and identify the next steps for their school’s journey.
Passionate about supporting new headteachers, Elizabeth believes that headship is “the best job in the world,” while also recognising its demands. Her approach combines professional rigour with warmth and insight, empowering schools to flourish as inclusive communities where staff, pupils, and families can thrive together.
