Full Biography

Jacqui is a dedicated Attendance Adviser with a proven track record of working collaboratively to improve school attendance and outcomes for pupils. She builds strong, trusting partnerships with students, families, school staff, and community agencies to support an inclusive and proactive approach to attendance.

Passionate about ensuring every child has the right to a full-time education, Jacqui understands the complex challenges that can affect attendance. She combines empathy with high expectations, believing that every pupil deserves the chance to reach their full potential in a safe, supportive environment. Safeguarding and inclusivity are central to her practice.

Jacqui was inspired to join BDSIP because of its unwavering commitment to creating empowering and inclusive educational experiences. She shares the organisation’s belief that education should equip learners not only with knowledge and skills but also with the confidence and motivation to become lifelong learners and positive forces in their communities.

Before joining BDSIP, Jacqui successfully developed and led attendance monitoring systems in Barking and Dagenham schools, with a focus on engaging hard-to-reach families from diverse backgrounds. She delivered parenting programmes that equipped families with practical skills to support their children’s wellbeing and attendance. Her experience as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead further strengthened her commitment to protecting vulnerable pupils.

At BDSIP, Jacqui’s work is driven by a deep belief in collaboration, inclusivity, and empowerment. She is committed to supporting schools and families in creating nurturing environments where every child feels valued, understood, and motivated to attend and engage in learning. Jacqui shares BDSIP’s vision of breaking down barriers to education through compassionate, personalised support that not only improves attendance but also strengthens the whole school community. Her dedication to safeguarding and equity ensures that vulnerable pupils receive the care and opportunities they deserve, helping to build a brighter future for all.
