Full Biography

Jo is passionate about helping schools create inclusive, nurturing spaces where every child can thrive. With over 12 years of experience working in Barking and Dagenham schools, she specialises in supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in Learning and SEMH ARPs. Jo believes that strong, trusting relationships between educators, students, and families are the foundation of meaningful learning and wellbeing.

At BDSIP, Jo values the collaborative ethos that drives tailored support for schools and their communities. She takes pride in working closely with schools to design creative, student-centred approaches that empower pupils to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Before joining BDSIP, Jo gained invaluable experience leading nurture provisions, managing SEND interventions, and supporting behaviour and culture improvements across primary and secondary settings. She continually invests in her professional growth, recently completing an NPQ in ‘Leading in Behaviour and Culture,’ becoming a licensed Thrive practitioner, and earning a merit award for ‘The Theory and Practice of Nurture Groups.’

Jo’s dedication aligns closely with BDSIP’s mission to foster inclusive education and build supportive environments where all children feel valued, understood, and equipped to succeed.
