Gillian leads BDSIP’s digital transformation and primary computing work, helping schools harness technology to enrich learning and prepare every child for the future.
With over 30 years in primary education, Gillian is passionate about ensuring all children access a high-quality education where technology supports their growth and curiosity. She works closely with school leaders, teachers, and technical staff to develop and embed effective computing curricula, assessment, and online safety programs, including delivering workshops for parents to build whole-school understanding.
Since BDSIP’s inception in 2018, Gillian has been a trusted advisor to many schools, bringing a broad skill set that includes managing IT contracts and collaborating across teams to ensure seamless digital support. She continually updates her knowledge through professional development and shares innovations around accessibility, physical computing, and the emerging role of AI in education.
Gillian also contributes beyond schools as a CEOP Ambassador, STEM Learning Professional Development Lead, and member of the LGfL Teaching and Learning advisory board. She is deeply committed to empowering educators and learners alike to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
