Full Biography

As the Secondary School Improvement Advisor Paul leads a team of specialist associates who provide subject and school improvement support for senior and middle leaders.

Prior to joining BDSIP, Paul was Principal at Oasis Academy Enfield for four successful years, having been its founding deputy in 2007. In recent years he has been Regional Leader for PiXL in the East and Southwest and to this day he maintains associate status with 20 schools offering advice in raising attainment. Previous roles saw Paul developing “Leading from the Middle” at NCSL and 5 years as Head of Science in Bedfordshire, where his team doubled GCSE results and attained “outstanding” status during inspection.

Paul is currently a Chair of Governors for secondary school within his home town of Luton as well as a facilitator for the NPQSL, a range of specialist NPQs and the Early Careers Framework mentor programme.
