Ben Ballin is a primary consultant specialising in geography. As well as his work for BDSIP, Ben leads subject networks for Staffordshire, Shropshire and the London Borough of Havering,
As a consultant to the Geographical Association, he leads national and local CPD programmes and offers support and advice to schools, especially primary schools. He is a member of the Primary Geography journal editorial board and a contributor to several of the Association’s publications.
For the RGS (with IBG) he has led national CPD and written teaching materials. He regularly writes teaching materials for the online primary geography website Oddizzi and in 2019 he created a primary teaching atlas through the publisher TTS.
As a consultant and co-opted trustee for Tide~ global learning, he also leads projects and CPD with a global learning focus.
