Full Biography

I am the Principal Data Analyst with more than 2 decades managing, analysing and reporting on data. I have 15 years of experience working within the education sector. I am passionate about extracting valuable information from school data, which school leadership team then use to plan, make informed decisions and offer holistic support to their pupils and meet their carrying needs.

A key ethos in BDSIP is to be a trusted partner for our customers; this trust is largely based on the quality of data reported. My role allows me to use my skills to ensure trusted data is reported, analysed and used to put in place school improvement plans, thereby improving student attainment and outcomes.

In my previous role as Data Manager, I managed data systems across 3 schools; produced a wide variety of management data reports to enhance strategic decision making and support school’s improvement. I was responsible for data accuracy and reporting. I put processes in place from the point of data collection, to inputting and reporting.

As Performance & Data Quality Analyst, I played a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data across the organisation by identifying data quality issues and their root causes and implementing appropriate solutions. I liaised with data owners to establish data quality metrics and key performance indicators. I developed KPI scorecards and dashboards using Power BI desktop.

I now lead the collection of borough-wide statutory data. I carry out Data Quality Checks to ensure data is complete, unique, accurate, valid, consistent and timely. I work closely with stakeholders to implement data governance framework set by the Department for Education. I offer in-house Excel Masterclass to colleagues; empowering them with tools to analyse and interpret data.
