Head of Careers & Higher Education
Rosalind heads BDSIP’s Careers & Higher Education department, working on the strategic and management side of both careers’ projects and delivery of our services. She acts as the operational point of contact around the Careers and Higher Education agendas for schools.
Rosalind develops the links between higher education institutions and schools by arranging a series of activities to raise student aspirations and to increase information about entry to higher education as part of the Aimhigher traded service to schools.
Rosalind has worked in Barking and Dagenham for over 15 years initially as a freelance lay inspector for OFSTED, attached the borough inspection team and then she combined this work in London and Essex with the role of Aimhigher coordinator, overseeing a government-funded programme to increase aspiration to university.
When the funding for this programme ceased in 2011 it became a traded service to schools and was joined in 2012 by the Careers service. At this point order to manage the careers service more effectively, Rosalind qualified as a Level 6 Careers Adviser.
Prior to working in education Rosalind had worked at Harrods as the Buyer/manager of the Children’s Books department.
