Pauline is an experienced primary and secondary SEND facilitator – her special area of interest is literacy and learning development. Pauline managed and strategically deployed teams of teachers and consultants to raise standards in teaching and learning and SEND for over 10 years.

Pauline has taught in both mainstream secondary and primary schools and gained experience in special education as a class teacher for children with learning and physical disabilities.

She also worked for 9 years in Havering as a literacy consultant and EAL team manager and later, as a school improvement officer, demonstrating a strong track record as evidenced in improvements in local authority-wide pedagogy, practice and improved school standards.

Her PhD was undertaken at Sheffield University and focused on children’s reading and writing development, with an additional focus on the influence of gender.

She has also been the project lead in the development of two android APPs for early development in reading and number (Time2Read and Mission2Maths).
