Education Inclusion Advisor
Linsay is an Education Inclusion Advisor and supports schools to develop their practice in working with vulnerable children and families.
She is a trained reviewer for the SEND Review Guide (London Leadership Strategy) and can carry out a comprehensive, holistic review of SEND whilst supporting the school with the identification and implementation of next steps.
She has developed a wide range of useful resources to support with the development of outstanding practice in inclusion.
Linsay supports with the development of other ARPs and now runs a wide range of courses around special educational needs, especially autism, supporting all stakeholders including governors and the senior leadership team, teachers and TAs, middays and office staff, parents and foster carers.
Linsay has held a variety of senior roles in schools and has been the lead for maths, literacy and inclusion lead, early years and Key Stage 2 lead.
Having taught in a range of mainstream schools and specialist settings for over 25 years, Linsay was able to be part of the senior leadership team setting up a new primary school. In addition to supporting with general management duties such as the recruitment and training of staff, setting up policies and procedures and the ordering of resources, Linsay was solely responsible for setting up an Additional Resource Provision for children with autism and complex needs. This provision was rated as outstanding by the end of the first year of opening.
Linsay has a range of post graduate qualifications including the National SENCO award and NPQSL.
