Behaviour Network

This professional network provides:

  • Local and national updates on behaviour, safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing.
  • Practical information on policy, practice and its implementation.
  • Staff training to develop skills, expertise and confidence when supporting pupils with a range of needs. 
  • This year our focus is on insights into promoting emotional health and wellbeing in schools, creating a culture of wellbeing for staff and pupils.

  • Guidance and advice on the effective running of nurture groups.
  • Theoretical and research approaches to identify mental health and wellbeing needs through the use of the Boxall profile.
  • Raising awareness of, and demonstrating the benefits of, nurture.   
  • Developing experts in nurture practice and in the social and emotional wellbeing of CYP.

  • Participate in CPD to further develop confidence in fulfilling their role in school
  • Consult, discuss, plan and share best practice and expertise
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the area of SEND
  • Share good practice both nationally and locally
  • Contribute to local policy and initiatives
