This keynote Briefing session was very successful with high demand for the event
Held on September 24, we had over 60 delegates on the day and a waiting list. The event was expertly led by Lesley Cox, former HMI and Ofsted national lead for SEND and inclusion. Lesley brings considerable expertise and flair in the new Ofsted framework and, as an experienced headteacher, the ability to relate it in practical terms to school leadership.
Leslie created a ‘safe’ environment where everyone could speak plainly and directly about their concerns.
The event introduced schools to key facets of the new framework, considered challenges and appropriate responses. Schools were given the opportunity to consider in groups their preparedness for the new framework and what further practical steps they might take in school.
Questions put by heads and senior leaders were pertinent and curious.
Out of a score of 5, 4,72 of participants felt that the event was useful. 4,69 felt the conference delivered its objectives. 4,75 felt the content was useful.
In response to many requests from heads, we’ll be re-running it for schools who weren’t able to attend and for middle leaders. This will take place at the De Rougemont Hotel on November 21, 2019.
