We are delighted to launch our BDSIP CPD programme for the autumn term.
We are constantly striving to strengthen our CPD offer both in terms of the calibre of training and in the method of delivery. As a result, this term our training courses will take place online via Zoom and will include input from both our in-house advisory teachers and leading national voices and organisations in the field of education.
This term we are pleased to join with national organisations including nasen, Try This Teaching, Whole School SEND, Words First and BRIEF who will bring their expertise to Barking and Dagenham across various courses this term. Additionally, in recognition of the wealth of knowledge and good practice already in place within the borough, we have also partnered with our local teaching schools (All Saints and Aspire Education Alliance) to provide a greater range of subject specific training opportunities than ever before.
As pupils and students start the new term, we recognise that many children will have had different experiences of the lockdown period and their starting points will vary widely. Those who are entering the exam years in secondary, or those at the end of primary, may well be anxious but very keen to start learning and make good progress in an engaging curriculum and make up for lost time. Much of the content of our autumn term programme offer assumes there will be no early testing – we want to support schools and teachers to get children back into a learning routine and focus on their wellbeing and resilience.
We believe that our CPD programme offers teachers and staff a stimulating and exciting range of training and development opportunities that will support your school improvement priorities.
Where available direct booking links are provided to all courses within the attached brochure, with remaining courses to be opened for online booking shortly. However, please note that our training offer is constantly evolving and further courses will be added over the coming weeks at https://bdsip.co.uk/find-a-course/
