The session will be delivered by Dr Sue Gifford of Roehampton University, London. This session will look at the development of children’s pattern awareness in relation to the Early Learning Goal. It will explore practical activities to support children’s learning about patterns in counting, comparing and composition of numbers, using daily routines, games, rhymes and stories. The session will also consider the progression in children’s patterning in a range of contexts, both indoors and outdoors.

Why should I attend?
This course will help you to understand, teach and assess accurately children’s development and learning in numerical patterns. It will also help you to accurately assess children’s learning for the early learning goal ‘Numerical Patterns.’
