Science Network Meeting

Home > Science Network Meeting

In this 90 minute online network meeting we will cover a range of updates and contemporary issues that will interest all post-holders within Barking and Dagenham secondary Science departments. The session is interactive and will involve the sharing of good practice within the borough and beyond.

Why should I attend?

  • As school leaders we can solve 80% of the challenges that we face – for the remaining 20% we are reliant on each other for ideas and inspiration.
  • As Science leaders we rarely get to benchmark basic aspects of resources and provision against those in neighbouring schools
  • Busy school leaders benefit from on-the-horizon news and opportunities in a concise easy to access format
  • As school leaders we rarely get opportunities to reflect on a planned approach to our own career development.

What will the course cover?

  • A digest of our 7-school Science survey on curriculum time, technician number, TLR structure and more
  • Ten important take-aways from the PiXL Science Conference held earlier that morning!
  • Anticipating the Feb 7th OFQUAL announcement on summer exam mitigations
  • Career development advice for aspiring Assistant Headteachers

  • Senior Leader
  • Head of Department
