This course will develop your knowledge, skills and confidence in teaching primary D&T. It is suitable for classroom teachers, including NQTs, and will also be a useful refresher for anyone who has recently taken on the role of D&T subject leader.


This is a half day course.

What will it cover?

  • National Curriculum requirements for D&T and the unique features of the subject
  • The principles of planning and teaching D&T lessons that develop subject knowledge and skills through high quality D&T projects, with examples
  • Hands-on practical experience of a simple D&T project which can be adapted for different age groups

This is a half day course.

Upon registration our booking system will correctly display the cost of this course based on your school package status.

  • CPD Package subscribers: There will be no charge for this course for schools that have purchased the CPD Package.
  • Pay as you go BDSIP Members: For schools that have not bought the CPD Package, there will be a charge of £120 per delegate for BDSIP members.
  • Pay as you go non-members: There will be a charge of £150 per delegate for schools that do not currently have BDSIP membership.

Cancellations less than five working days before the course may still be charged.
