The conference will be hosted by Paul Miller, Professor of Educational Leadership and Social Justice. It is organised by the B&D headteachers’ leadership group for race and social justice.


An inspirational event for all B&D schools and leaders which:

  • challenges thinking and practice in B&D schools around race & social justice
  • creates opportunities learn from innovative experiences and practices
  • develops and launches B&D schools’ work around race & social justice.

  • Asif Sadiq, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Adidas, former Head of Diversity and Inclusiveness at EY and former Head of Equality, Diversity and Human Rights for City of London Police


9:45-10:05am - B&D RSJ Project 

  • Introducing the Barking and Dagenham race and social justice project


10.05-10:30am - Coffee break

10:30-11:30am - Special Guest: Professor Paul Miller

  • Developing a shared language and practice 


11:30-12:30pm - Introduction to workshops
