High Quality First Teaching for all Learners

Home > High Quality First Teaching for all Learners

Amjad will provide low effort, high impact, evidence informed strategies to support all of our students in our lesson delivery. He will also propose ways to ensure mixed ability teaching is productive and effective for all. And finally, Amjad will guide attendees through reworking/remodelling a current lesson/resource to make it more accessible and productive.

What is Mixed Ability Teaching?

What does planning for all actually mean?

Do we all really understand what High Quality First Teaching is?

Join Amjad Ali for another half-day CPD session where we will explore these terms:

  • mixed
  • ability
  • planning and
  • teaching.

Early Career teachers will benefit from developing these habits as part of their practice and more experienced teachers/leaders will be able to model and share the ideas within their own settings.

Why should I attend?

You will explore:

  • what mixed ability teaching is.
  • how to ensure you are offering High Quality First Teaching in your classroom.
  • ways to support students with different levels/starting-points.
  • how to use scaffolding effectively.

What will the course cover?

  • Effective planning to meet the learning objectives and needs of all learners.
  • Effective strategies to support progress in mixed ability teaching
  • Effective scaffolding strategies to support engagement and progress for all.

Please come to the session with a lesson plan or resource that you would like to work on for the following week.
