This training will allow moderators to understand the expectations for attainment in Writing at the end of KS1 prior to being part of the external moderation team. Teachers will analyse children’s work and come to agreed judgements about children’s attainment.

Description

Why should I attend?

This course will provide moderators with the opportunity to discuss and analyse work, explore the latest governmental expectations, and moderate their judgements in Writing in line with the Assessment Framework for KS1 in Writing.

 

What will the course cover?

To work with Moderators to:

•Explore the latest requirements and updates from Government, STA and DFE

•Identify and closely examine writing elements within a piece of children’s work and explore the commentaries provided by the STA

•Consider the collection of evidence needed to make judgements in a moderation.

•Moderate samples of children’s work in discussion with colleagues.

•Explain the moderation process, in preparation for your visit.
