Why should I attend?
- To raise awareness of about some of the causes of HI / VI and how this can impact on children and young people’s learning.
- To enable attendees to disseminate the knowledge gained during the session and cascade this back to other mainstream staff in their school.
What will the course cover?
- Signs to watch out for.
- How to improve the classroom - practical suggestions for supporting children with HI / VI in mainstream classrooms to maximise their learning and independence.
- Consider some adaptations to the environment and modifications required, e.g. text and materials.
- How technology can help.
