Home > Specialist CPD for History Subject Leads in Primary in association with All Saints Teaching School

History is a challenging and exciting subject to lead. The teachers under your care need knowledge not just of the subject but of how to teach second order concepts, such as significance, diversity, cause and consequence. History is extremely interesting as a subject, but needs to be taught in an effective way with students understanding that events do not happen in isolation and they need to begin to build up a bigger picture of History.

Why should I attend?

  • To develop a greater understanding of second order concepts that are needed to teach effective History.
  • To diversify the curriculum
  • To build local networks

  • SOC – Second Order Concepts
  • Diversity in History – how do you teach this?
