Delivered by nasen, this SENCO training is designed to complement the BDSIP TA Training Programme to enable SENCOs to maximise the impact of a strategic approach to leadership of SEND in their settings.


Why should I attend? 

  • I want to maximise the impact of the TA Training Programme. 

  • I want to develop a strategic approach to provision management including, but not limited to, the use of TAs in my setting. 

  • I want to develop my expertise in using person-centred approaches to provision management. 

  • I want to maximise High Quality First Teaching for SEND in my setting, beyond the deployment of TAs. 

  • I want to develop a culture of collaborative working for the inclusion of learners with SEND. 



What will the course cover? 

  • An overview of the learning on the TA Training Programme. 

  • Leadership of TAs to ensure maximum impact of the training programme. 

  • Strategic leadership of SEND across the whole school including: 

  • Provision management, including but not limited to, the deployment of TAs. 

  • High Quality First Teaching for SEND, beyond the deployment of TAs. 

  • Developing a culture of collaborative working to ensure maximum progress for SEND learners. 



Who should attend? 


In order to be eligible for this course, SENCOs must have TAs on the TA Training Programme, which is an 18 session course, delivered with full consideration to the TA Standards (2016), to fully equip TAs with the knowledge, understanding and practical strategies to support wide range of SEND.  Full details can be found on the BDSIP website.

Non BDSIP members – £62.50

CPD Package No charge 

Schools outside of LBBD- £350
