Complex Needs – Intro with Q & A

Home > Complex Needs – Intro with Q & A

This course will cover the basics of complex needs and is relevant to anyone working with young people. We tend to think of complex needs as young people who have an EHCP with more than one diagnosis, or those that present with challenging behaviour in addition to a specific learning need. In this course we will look at an overview of all areas which can contribute to complex needs, including SEND, behaviour, home issues, and social deprivation.

Description

We will look at why young people with complex needs may struggle to cope in many environments, with demands and during unstructured times and how this can display through challenging behaviour. This course is designed as an overview, there will be the opportunity to ask for other more detailed sessions during feedback.

Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions about complex needs.
