Understanding the whole child is the best starting point for anyone working with children with additional needs, including SEND. This workshop will explore the fundamental building blocks for inclusion for all children.

Description

Why should I attend?

The session will explore how class teachers and teaching assistants should approach planning to meet the needs of the whole child in order to ensure they are able to engage in learning.

 

Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions about SEND and meeting the needs of SEND learners in their classroom.

 

What will it cover?

The course will cover:

  • approaches for planning to meet the needs of the whole child.
  • the graduated response to meeting a child’s needs in the classroom.
  • useful strategies and resources to inform classroom practice and ensure high quality first teaching for inclusion.

 

Who should attend?

Class teachers and teaching assistants but this will be particularly useful for colleagues who are new in post.

 

Cost:

BDSIP Members – £50 

Non BDSIP members – £62.50 

CPD Package No charge

Schools outside of LBBD  - £62.50
