Delivered by Georgia Thorp, who has run a number of highly successful sessions in 2020, this session is designed to help staff learn how to use puppets to support children to connect at an emotional level; maintain focus; act as a springboard to explore issues and ideas; and develop problem solving skills.

  • Getting started with a puppet
  • Developing your own style
  • Different ways of using puppets as a learning tool
  • Creating simple stories to introduce rules and routines
  • Mindfulness techniques
  • Showing empathy support engagement
  • Problem solving
  • Exploring feelings and needs
  • Follow up activities to develop learning from each session.

Staff working with KS1 and KS2 pupils


  • BDSIP Members – £50 
  • Non BDSIP members – £62.50 
  • CPD Package No charge
  • Schools outside of LBBD  - £62.50
