An opportunity for maths subject leaders to improve their subject knowledge, pedagogical approaches, and develop their professional role by exploring the latest research, initiatives and events.

  • Discuss how to review gaps that children may have in their maths, the importance of AFL and any changes to the curriculum coverage you may need to put in place.

  • Be aware of the support available for transition from primary to secondary school
  • Be aware of national events and online resources to support and engage students.
  • Begin to look at metacognition and self-regulation and its role in being children make rapid progress.
