Home > SEND & Inclusion Workshop: Barriers to Learning – Hosted by Amjad Ali

This online session will provide practical, tried and tested, evidence-informed strategies to support our SEND students to learn and access their education more effectively. Amjad Ali is a practising teacher, SENCO and Senior Leader, TEDEX speaker and highly experienced trainer who has delivered CPD at schools and events around the UK. We are very pleased to welcome him to Barking and Dagenham.

Why should I attend?

The protracted period away from the classroom and formal learning experiences creates some uncertainty about how well some of our most vulnerable learners will be able to re-engage in their learning.

This session will enable delegates to develop a range of strategies to support our SEND learners in the classroom.

What will it cover?

In the context of the classroom lesson, Amjad will provide top tips to support:

  • Reading and Decoding

  • 'Working with TAs' on 8th July 2020

Who should attend?

Teaching Assistants and SENCOs.

It may also be helpful for classteachers.
